Zahra Hosseini was called to the Bar of the Law Society of Upper Canada (now the Law Society of Ontario) in 2015 and the Bar of the Law Society of Manitoba in 2016. Before being licensed as a lawyer in Ontario, she was a licensed paralegal with the Law Society of Upper Canada. Overall, she has been a licensed legal practitioner since 2010.
Before moving back home to Winnipeg, Zahra practiced in a bilingual firm in Ottawa, Ontario, specifically in the areas of Criminal, Family and Child Protection law. After moving to Manitoba she started a general practice, with a concentration in Immigration, Family, Child Protection and Civil Litigation. Zahra is also Legal Counsel for ‘A Women’s Place’, a centre affiliated with Norwest Community Coop that provides Counselling, Legal Consultations and pro-bono legal services for victims of domestic violence across Manitoba.
Zahra is fluent in French and Farsi and looks forward to providing legal services to both the Francophone and Persian speaking communities in Manitoba.
